Back End Developer

Help us make lives easier by addressing the world’s most challenging

planning and mobility topics.

FULL-TIME · DELFT

Hold on, you can park here, we have reserved a nice position for you. Because we are looking for an experienced back end developer to strengthen our ambitious team.

We – a bunch of crazy people at Calendar42 - believe that the business of the future is all about connecting people and resources on demand by offering real-time planning and mobility services. So, the last few years we have developed our – as we like to call it - magical algorithm platform. Open data, transparency and real time are the key drivers here. We are a team with people from all over the world that works on a joint mission: make life easier! So companies will become more successful and employees happier.

Our services are offered via high performance micro-services, Docker based, architecture. Monitored by real-time monitoring systems and logged in flexible processing engines. We work with state of the art technology and our challenging projects have great impact on society.

Your Mission

To continue with our beautiful work we need a truly senior back-end developer. Someone who is able to design the architecture, implement the latest bleeding edge technologies and guard long term technical goals. We like you to contribute to the technical culture of our business and be able to create the magic balance of stability and agility, better to say: enable reliable technology in our dynamically-evolving and highly-competitive environment. Naturally, we expect you to take initiative for projects that you believe add value to the company.

You will lead the way in our back end engineering team, enabling the company to amaze the world with a business changing platform. The main challenge will be the unravelling of huge data sets and millions of records, next to the challenge of creative modelling for the processes within code and services. Yes, you might face batches of complex issues as often as you eat sandwiches. But we promise you, the batches are fun and the sandwiches healthy and delicious!
